From April 22nd to 24th, Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province, hosted the most important forum dedicated to the private business sector in China: the 2016 Green Companies Summit. The exclusive summit celebrates the annual meeting of the China Entrepreneur Club, the illustrious association that gathers together the representatives of the most relevant Chinese firms, as the giants Alibaba, Wanda Group and Lenovo.
Progetto CMR took part to the Italian delegation, led by Prof. Marco Simoni, Economic Counsellor of the Italian Prime Minister Renzi. The Summit dedicated a panel session to Italy, under the theme of “The Italian Advantage: Tradition, Technology and Sustainability”, where representatives of the Italian business community shared with their Chinese counterparts ideas about and approaches to the winning Italian experience.
Massimo Bagnasco, Managing Partner of Progetto CMR in Beijing, showed how the sound skills Italy has in sustainable planning and human-based design represent an effective solution to the challenges posed by the rapid urbanization in China. Ideas that Progetto CMR has contributed to promote since its early steps in China, in 2002, fostering a community-based, eco-friendly approach to architecture and design.
