Sustainability: one single, apparently simple, word that has turned out to be one of the most used (and perhaps abused) words of our times. A word that contains within itself a plurality of meanings and uses, from architecture to economy to finance and, last but not least, environment. The relationships among these different dimensions are the main focus of the latest book by Mr Massimo Roj, CEO of Progetto CMR, Less Ego More Eco – Towards Shared Sustainability. The author collected opinions from experts in many fields, who contribute to give a more detailed view on sustainability and on the ongoing debate about it. After the success gained by the book last year in Italy, on May 30th its Chinese release was officially launched. It is further enriched by the valuable contributions of H.E. Ambassador Markus Ederer, Head of Delegation of the European Union to China, and of Mr Li Tie, Director General of China Center for Urban Development, who offer the reader an interesting insight into the Chinese context, the challenges posed by urbanization and the fruitful synergies that a tighter cooperation between European and Chinese institutions could bring.
