Last April, Chinese government officially launched a new urban development project south of Beijing, the Xiong’An New Area, which will house more than 4 million people by the next 15 years. On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the signature of the “EU-China Urbanisation Partnership”, on October 26th the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design in Beijing will host the “2017 China-EU Conference on Sustainable Urbanisation”, where experts and researchers will meet to share their views and visions on the future growth of cities, with a specific focus on Xiong’An new area.
Massimo Roj, CEO of Progetto CMR, is invited to join the “People’s Well-Being Oriented Urban Development” panel, at which he will talk about the principles the city of the future should be based on, through some real projects currently under construction.
